Asian blepharoplasty | Double eyelid surgery

Approximately 50% of the east Asian population lack a supratarsal fold (double eyelid).  Asian eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) is the most common Asian cosmetic procedure performed.  Patients undergoing this procedure almost always wish to preserve their ethnicity.  Dr. Kwak recognizes this and strives to achieve a natural beauty while preserving cultural identity.

Your Consultation
During your consultation with Dr. Kwak please feel free to discuss any concerns you have with the procedure.  Also, Dr. Kwak will review with you several styles of the double eyelid.  In addition, Dr. Kwak may recommend additional procedures such as an epicanthoplasty and ptosis surgery to optimize your results.

Both you and Dr. Kwak will review the best choice for your eyes and facial features.

The Surgery
Double eyelid surgery is an ambulatory surgery that is done under local anesthesia.  There are several techniques used by surgeons to perform this surgery.   Common type include the incision and the incision-less double eyelid surgery.  Dr. Kwak will review with you which technique best suits you.
