Korean Plastic Surgery - 3 Common Misconceptions About Going Abroad For Cosmetic Surgery

Korean Plastic Surgery misconceptions

As the rates of travel for cosmetic surgery procedures increase, so do the misconceptions that Korean plastic surgery is best performed abroad. But that's not always the case.

Here are three things to consider about traveling for your plastic surgery:

1. Surgeons in Korea are more qualified to do Asian cosmetic procedures.

The medical education here in the United States is globally regarded as the best in medical training. Surgical advances along with research in plastic surgery are still regarded as the best in the world. While it is true, surgeons in Korea only operated on “Asian faces” quality over quantity should be the ultimate factor when choosing a plastic surgeon.

2. It will be cheaper to have the surgery done in Korea.

While fees for surgery maybe slightly lower in Korea, one must factor additional costs associated with traveling to a foreign country to have surgery. Airline tickets, hotels fees, and meals can easily push the cost of the surgery higher than prices here in the US. Additionally, stress of traveling to a foreign country and the risks of potential complications are also inherent costs associated with having surgery in Asia.

3. I can fly into Asia and come back home soon after without any worries.

A major role in achieving optimal results is having close postoperative care with your surgeon. Having the ability to reach your surgeon and freely communicate your concerns is one of the most important things I recommend for a prospective patient.

Please be very careful. I am asian born with double eyelids, but had extra crease located on the inner part of both of my eyelids. So lied to about the surgery. I was left with so much horrible scars. The eye doctor sewn me up so tight and made so many cuts to the lateral sides of both of my eyes. He made ugly cuts. My eyelid creaes are bumpy. My eyelids filled with scars, divots, indentation, zig zag scars created by this quack called himself eyelid surgeons and advertised as "fountain of youth. He also stitch my eyebrow to part of my forehead. I have scars to the lateral sides of my eyebrows. It is really ugly. My eyes look like someone in their 80's and up. Don't just trust anyone in doing your eyelids. If I only knew the truth in 1992, I woudn't let this quack touch my eyelids. He used me to experience on without informed consent. I am scared for life. Don't count on sueing your doctor that fuc*ed up your face cuz it will be hard to find another doctor who will go against their collegue unless you have plenty of money to paid for an expert. if you have lots of money, then maybe you can find a doctor who will tell the truth about how botched your eyelids are. Other than that, you will need to live with plenty of scars of the top half of your face & people will always made assumptions to what happen. You don't want to live so many pleats on your eyelids,My eyebrows also is filled with scars and part of my forehead. This evil doctor never admitted to any wrong doing either. What the Fu*k was he trying to do. Eyelid surgery is a cut on the natural eyelid creases and not all over the place.

My eyelid surgery was done in 1992 southern california by someone who advertised a lot of Los Angeles Time. Back then there was no internet and all source pointed to eyelid surgery as saft only with tiny fainted scar hidden inside the natural eyelid creases. That was full of shit. Don't believe in anyone advertise their business as "FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH". It took me over a decade a half to speak up of what happen to my eyelids. I didn't want to talk about it for years and wished it didn't happen, but approx 2 years ago I decided to let people know what happened to me, so people be awared.
