Cheek Augmentation | Chin Augmentation

Chin implants and cheek implants, who needs them?
A beautiful face is one that has balance with other facial features and symmetry.  In the midface region, a gaunt cheek bone can suggest poor health, while a full cheek bone allures health and youth.  In the lower face region, the profile of the chin connects the lower face to the rest of the face, especially the nose (see rhinoplasty).

Your Consultation
Dr. Kwak will examine you and discuss recommendations.  Most chin implant  candidates are patients inquiring about rhinoplasty surgery.  Sometimes, neck liposuction maybe recommended to enhance the chin augmentation.

The Surgery
Both cheek and chin implant surgery is an ambulatory surgery, requiring general anesthesia.  Dr. Kwak approaches placement of both implants through incisions located in your mouth.  For cheek implants, skin bolsters are placed for about 5 days, while chin implants require skin taping for 5 days.

Most swelling and bruising last about 7-10 days.
