BROWLIFT
As we age, our faces undergo predictable changes. The upper portion of our face including the forehead and eyebrows start to sag and droop. A lower positioned eyebrow can create a more tired appearance to the face. A browlift or a forehead lift addresses these changes and repositions the eyebrow, reestablishing a more youthful appearance to the face.
Your Consultation
Dr. Kwak will examine you and discuss recommendations. There are different types of browlifts: the coronal lift, the temporal brow lift, endoscopic brow lift. Depending on your anatomy, Dr. Kwak will recommend which lift best suits you. Sometimes, additional procedures such as eyelid surgery, or a facelift may be suggested to optimize your results.
Surgery Expectations
The procedure is usually done as an outpatient at an accredited surgery center. Dr. Kwak recommends general anesthesia for this procedure which would be administered by a board-certified anesthesiologist. Following surgery, most patients have mild to little pain. Most patients return to work about a week after surgery. There may be some bruising for a week or so and some swelling for a few weeks following surgery.
